Learn all the secrets of the Red Japanese Clay Teapot
The Red Japanese Clay teapot is made from oxidized clay, giving it a distinct reddish orange hue. The teapot has a sleek glaze to it, which allows you to prepare multiple types of tea without worrying about the flavors interfering with one another. The teapot allows the leaves more space to expand and release their flavor into the water, and then automatically sifts them out as you pour. The capacity of this teapot is 330 millileters.
How to use the Red Japanese Clay Teapot
The Red Japanese Clay Teapot is very easy to use! Just follow four simple steps. First, heat up the water. Next, put the tea leaves inside. Then, pour the water into the teapot. Lastly, let the tea sit for a bit before pouring it out.
Step 1
Use an electric kettle to bring the water to the desired temperature. Different types of tea require slightly different temperatures, and you can find this information on our website.
Step 2
Open up the lid and add 5 grams of tea leaves into the bottom of the Red Japanese Clay Teapot. You have the option to heat the teapot by pouring in hot water, waiting for 30 seconds, and then pouring it out.
Step 3
Once the tea leaves have been placed in the Red Japanese Clay Teapot, you can slowly pour in 150ml of water.
Step 4
Place the lid onto the Red Japanese Clay Teapot and let the leaves steep for 1-2 minutes, depending on the tea type. After the brewing is finished, pour it into your glass, and the built-in filter will prevent leaves from flowing into your cup.
Step 5
After steeping the leaves once, you can continue to use them for 2-3 more infusions. Use the same water temperature, the same quantity, but reduce the steeping time to only 20 seconds for each subsequent brew.
Step 6
For a cold-brewed tea in your Red Japanese Clay Teapot, simply use 5 grams of tea leaves and 400ml of room temperature or cool water. After letting it brew for 1-3 hours, pour out the teapot and indulge in your revitalizing cold-brewed green tea!
